After the sudden resignation of the present Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, there was a lot of confusion among the citizens of Gujarat regarding the question of who will be the new Chief Minister of Gujarat, who will be appointed, etc. With that in mind, an immediate meeting was called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Discussions were held on who will be the new Chief Minister of Gujarat, who will be appointed as the Chief Minister etc.
In view of the confusion of the people in this meeting, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel was appointed for the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat on an immediate basis. Therefore, on 16/09/2021, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel took oath to assume the post of Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel changed the cabinet of Gujarat.
Earlier, after the 2017 Gujarat Assembly elections, Vijay Rupani's government had announced the list of his ministers. Even after the announcement of the list of ministers, some changes have been made in the ministers. And then a new cabinet has been released after Shri Vijaybhai Rupani resigned from the post of Chief Minister.
